The school was formed from the old University of Art and Design Helsinki when Aalto University was founded the year 2010. According to SAAB evaluation 2013, the school has an outstanding impact both nationally and internationally. The main responsibility of the NordiCHI’14 conference is at the Department of Design — a creative community of 800 students, teachers and researchers.
