There is a good selection of hotels within walking distance of the conference venue, the Marina Congress Center. We have booked room quotas for participants for October 25th -30th in the following four hotels, where room availability can be guaranteed for early bookings. Participants are also free to make their own accommodation arrangements but availability or prices cannot be guaranteed. All Finnish hotels are clean and safe, and you can drink the world’s cleanest tap water anywhere.
Scandic Grand Marina Hotel

Hotel Scandic Grand Marina is situated accross the street from the Conference venue by the harbour, just a short walk from Helsinki’s city center. 
Helsinki’s shopping streets and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern European style and many of the rooms have views over the marina. Room rates include breakfast and VAT.

Eurohostel provides comfortable budget accommodation and is located 5-minute walk from the Conference venue. It is just a short walk from the sights, shops and restaurants of downtown Helsinki. 
There is a self-service kitchen on all accommodation floors. A buffet breakfast is served at Restaurant Katajanmarja from 7 AM to 10:30 AM on weekdays and 8 AM to 11 AM at weekends and bank holidays. Breakfast coupons are sold at the reception for 8,80 €.
All floors have separate showers and washroom facilities for men and women. Eurohostel category rooms have television with cable channels. The room rate includes bedding, towel, morning sauna and VAT.

is located 1.6 kilometers from the Conference venue and you get there in 10 minutes by public transportation or 20 minutes walking.

Booking your accommodation
The above mentioned hotel prices are valid only when booking accommodation through the on-line registration form available through the Registration page. To guarantee the reservation you will be requested to pay a deposit of one night in advance at the time of registration. All additional nights are to be paid directly to the hotel upon departure.

Changes and cancellations
All changes and cancellations must be made in writing to nordichi2014@confedent.fi
- Cancellation received before or on August 25, 2014:
Full refund (deduction of EUR 50 for the administration fee). - Cancellation received after August 25, 2014:
No refunds will be given (100 % deposit to be made if fees not already paid at time of cancellation). - There will be no refund for no-shows.
